Great outcome this week – client is on a district court section 12 suspended sentence. He breaches it by being in possession of drugs. We were able to persuade the court to give him a section 10 (no conviction recorded) so that ultimately we would have no action taken on the suspended sentence. Very lucky client – he is not suitable for community service and so an intensive corrections order was no available. Only likely option upon revocation of suspended sentence is full time jail but with the section 10 we will be able to avoid this.
